Transcranial Pulse Stimulation Enhances Dexterity in Parkinson's Disease: A Randomized Sham‐Controlled Trial

open access: yesMovement Disorders, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Ultrasound‐based neuromodulation, capable of reaching deep brain areas with high precision, represents cutting‐edge technology in non‐invasive brain stimulation and is investigated as a novel treatment for neurological and psychiatric disorders, including Parkinson's disease (PD).

A transducer positioning method for transcranial focused ultrasound treatment of brain tumors

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroscience, 2023
PurposeAs a non-invasive method for brain diseases, transcranial focused ultrasound (tFUS) offers higher spatial precision and regulation depth. Due to the altered path and intensity of sonication penetrating the skull, the focus and intensity in the ...

A chemo‐enzymatic colorimetric cascade for detecting ethylene glycol contamination

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
A chemo‐enzymatic cascade is developed for ethylene glycol (EG) detection. EG is oxidized by GoADH with C1‐mediated cofactor recycling to produce glycolaldehyde (GAL). GAL subsequently reacts with purpald to generate a detectable purple chromophore.

TRPC4/TRPC5 are critical for neuronal modulation by transcranial focused ultrasound in retrosplenial cortex in male mice

open access: yesNature Communications
Transcranial focused ultrasound (tFUS) enables non-invasive neuromodulation, yet its underlying molecular mechanisms remain largely elusive. Here, we show that transient receptor potential canonical 4 (TRPC4) and transient receptor potential canonical 5 (

When Nature Talks, Markets Move: Forecasting the Equity Premium With Eco‐Climate Incidents

open access: yesFinancial Review, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper examines the role of eco‐climate information, particularly biodiversity risks, in forecasting the U.S. equity premium. Using RepRisk controversy data, we construct indicators for biodiversity, greenhouse gas emissions, and local pollution. Biodiversity indicators emerge as strong predictors of the equity premium, outperforming other

The Mycobacterium tuberculosis Rv0132c Gene Product Mtb‐FGD2 Can Act as an F420‐Dependent Glucose Dehydrogenase

open access: yesProteins: Structure, Function, and Bioinformatics, Volume 94, Issue 9, Page 1610-1627, September 2026.
ABSTRACT The role of the cell envelope‐associated Rv0132c/FGD2 from Mycobacterium tuberculosis has long been a subject of debate. Importantly, FGD2 is found only in pathogenic mycobacteria, making it a potential drug target. While some suggest it functions as a glucose‐6‐phosphate dehydrogenase, others propose it acts instead as an F420‐dependent ...

Mathematical Model of Ultrasound Attenuation With Skull Thickness for Transcranial-Focused Ultrasound

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroscience, 2022
Transcranial-focused ultrasound (tFUS) has potential for both neuromodulation and neuroimaging. Due to the influence of head tissue, especially the skull, its attenuation is a key issue affecting precise focusing.

Neuromodulation Techniques in Chronic Cerebral Hypoperfusion: Mechanisms and Therapeutic Advances

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 8, August 2026.
Chronic cerebral hypoperfusion drives vascular cognitive impairment through neurovascular dysfunction, white matter injury, neuroinflammation, oxidative stress and synaptic network failure. Neuromodulation may offer a multi‐target strategy to restore plasticity, improve functional connectivity and support cognitive recovery. ABSTRACT Background Chronic
