Experimental Study of Sugarcane Bagasse Fiber with Rice Husk and Wood Powder Polymer Matrix Composite

open access: yesJournal of Natural Fibers, 2023
This research examines the mechanical, morphological, and moisture assimilation of composite materials built up from sugarcane bagasse fiber (SBF), rice husk (RH), and wood powder (WP) filler.

Therapy of Canine Hyperlipidemia with Bezafibrate. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
BackgroundBezafibrate (BZF) is effective in the treatment of hypertriglyceridemia in human patients, but there are no data on its use in dogs.ObjectiveTo assess the safety of BZF in hyperlipidemic dogs and its efficacy in decreasing serum triglyceride ...

REQUEST FOR COMPRESSION OF SOME INNOVATIVE MATERIALS [PDF]

open access: yesFiabilitate şi Durabilitate, 2022
Modern society seeks to capitalize waste on construction and demolition through various technologies. In this sense, a research topic can refer to the response of innovative materials to the classic compression stress, analyzing the values of tensile ...

Off equilibrium properties of vortex creep in superconductors

open access: yes, 2001
We study a model for the dynamics of vortices in type II superconductors. In particular, we discuss glassy ``off equilibrium'' properties and ``aging'' in magnetic creep.

Crossover of Microscopic Dynamics in Metallic Supercooled Liquid Observed by NMR [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Nuclear magnetic resonance is used to characterize local atomic motions in the glassy and supercooled liquid states of the bulk metallic glass system Pd43Ni10Cu27P20. The temperature dependence of the Knight shift reveals that certain local atomic motion

Alterations of clock gene RNA expression in brain Regions of a triple transgenic model of Alzheimer's Disease [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
A disruption to circadian rhythmicity and the sleep/wake cycle constitutes a major feature of Alzheimer's disease (AD). The maintenance of circadian rhythmicity is regulated by endogenous clock genes and a number of external Zeitgebers, including light ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Ultra-small phospholipid nanoparticles in the treatment of combined hyperlipidemia: a randomized placebo-controlled clinical trial

open access: yesResearch in Pharmaceutical Sciences
Background and purpose: Combined hyperlipidemia is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular events. This clinical trial investigated phospholipovit (essential phospholipids, Institute of Biomedical Chemistry, Moscow, Russia), an ultra-small ...

Loschmidt echo in one-dimensional interacting Bose gases [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We explore Loschmidt echo in two regimes of one-dimensional (1D) interacting Bose gases: the strongly interacting Tonks-Girardeau (TG) regime, and the weakly-interacting mean-field regime.
