Refining the timing of Middle Pleistocene (MIS 12 to MIS 6) ice advances into northern central Europe: sedimentological analysis and single‐grain luminescence dating of glaciotectonic complexes and tunnel‐valley fills

open access: yesBoreas, EarlyView.
We summarize the current state of knowledge on the age of the Middle Pleistocene ice advances into northern central Europe and provide 25 new single‐grain feldspar luminescence ages of Elsterian and Saalian glacigenic sediments to constrain the age of the ice advances and their tentative correlation with marine isotope stages/substages.

Systemic exposure to propranolol in patients with chronic liver disease and its correlation with portal blood flow

open access: yesFrontiers in Medicine, 2022
Propranolol is a beta-blocker used for the prevention of variceal bleeding in cirrhotic patients. We investigated the pharmacokinetics of propranolol in patients with chronic liver disease compared to that in healthy individuals.

Prognostic Value of Small Coved‐Type ST‐Segment Area in Patients With Spontaneous Type 1 Brugada Syndrome

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, EarlyView.
Electrical and structural abnormalities in Brugada syndrome lead to a smaller coved‐type ST‐segment area. A reduced ST‐segment area may identify patients at elevated risk of ventricular fibrillation. ABSTRACT Background Risk stratification in Brugada syndrome (BrS) remains challenging.

Contrasting life‐history strategies of three sympatric icefish species in the northern Scotia Sea

open access: yesJournal of Fish Biology, EarlyView.
Abstract Comprehending a species' life‐history strategies is crucial to inform effective conservation efforts. Commercial fishing impacts icefish (family: Channichthyidae) in the Scotia Sea, but detailed information on species‐specific life histories remains largely unknown.

Doença arterial coronária, perfusão miocárdica e função ventricular em enfartes do miocárdio com onda Q e sem onda Q.

open access: yesActa Médica Portuguesa, 1997
Controversy remains in considering non-Q wave myocardial infarction (NQMI) a distinct pathophysiological entity of Q wave myocardial infarction (QMI). In order to analyze the severity of coronary artery disease, extension of myocardial scar or myocardial

Haplotype‐Resolved Genome Assembly and Population Genomics Reveal Evolutionary History and Agronomic Traits of Mulberry

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Mulberry is a representative economic tree species valued for both poverty alleviation and medicinal use. To advance the understanding of mulberry genomics and demography, we assembled high‐quality haploid genomes of two widely cultivated mulberry varieties NS14 and QS1, and analysed 376 accessions from 12 countries, including 39 ancient trees

Effects of successful percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty on global and regional left ventricular function in unstable angina pectoris [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
Sixty-eight patients (58 men, 10 women, mean age 56.3 years, range 31 to 72) with unstable angina pectoris, either initially stabilized with or refractory to optimal pharmacologic treatment, were studied to determine whether regional dysfunction due to ...

Making the best use of our previous results as a clue for interpreting kinetics of scintigraphic agents

open access: yesJapanese Dental Science Review, 2011
Up to now, we have performed scintigraphy with 201-thallium chloride (201-TlCl) and 99m-Tc-hexakis-2-methoxy-isobutyl-isonitrile (99m-Tc-MIBI) for malignant tumors and lymphoscintigraphy with 99m-Tc-rhenium-colloid (99m-Tc-Re) and 99m-Tc-human-serum ...
