Accelerated in situ formation of TiB and TiC in Ti–5Al–2.5Sn–B4C is driven by transient liquid phase formation, which enhances particle reactions and microstructural evolution. This process increases hardness and establishes a coupled relationship between sintering temperature and reinforcement content, strongly influencing porosity in the resulting ...

Gyroid Structured Globugraphite Carbon Foam With Hierarchical and Tailored Pore Size
Secondary sacrificial templates were designed and printed to create a defined network within a porous carbon. Lattices thermally degrades during the sintering process. Lattices are imprinted into the ceramic template and transferred to the morphology of Globugraphite.

The influence of Fe particle size on in situ alloying of Fe–SiC powder blends in PBF‐LB/M is revealed. Contrary to expectations, the coarser Fe fraction provides a broader crack‐free processing window and slightly improved elemental homogeneity while producing higher but more variable hardness. The results highlight a complex trade‐off between particle

This study explores the influences of calendering and surface treatment during direct ink writing (DIW) of thermochromic cholesteric liquid crystal (CLC) on PET nonwovens. For the PVA‐coated nonwovens, calendering reduces pore size leading to reduced ink absorption and enhanced spreading. The NeverWet‐coated nonwovens improve thermochromic responses by

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Biomass Native Structure Into Functional Carbon‐Based Catalysts for Fenton‐Like Reactions
This study indicates that eight biomasses with 2D flaky and 1D acicular structures influence surface O types, morphology, defects, N doping, sp2 C, and Co nanoparticles loading in three series of carbon, N‐doped carbon, and cobalt/graphitic carbon. This work identifies how these structural factors impact catalytic pathways, enhancing selective electron

DNA strands are employed both as dynamic linkers and nanoscale templates for the integration of Ag2S nanoparticles on MoS2, which in turn imparted photothermal responsiveness; this feature permits the selective cargo (fluorophore, quantum dots or an enzyme) release from the MoS2 surface in response to local heat induced by light irradiation.
