The Effect of Adsorbent-Material Properties on PSA Based Oxygen Concentrators

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2023
Abstract An oxygen concentrator is a technology for producing pure oxygen. By using the Pressure Swing Adsorption method, zeolite as an oxygen concentrator will absorb nitrogen in the free air and release oxygen as an output from the oxygen concentrator.

Trace Nickel Activated Biphasic Core‐CuOii/Shell‐CuOi Secondary Microspheres Enable Room Temperature Parts‐Per‐Trillion‐Level NO2 Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An idea of designing novel sensors is proposed by creating appropriate Schottky barriers and vacancies between isomorphous Core‐CuOii/ Shell‐CuOi secondary microspheres and enhancing catalytic and spill‐over effects, and electronegativity via spontaneous biphasic separation, self‐assembly, and trace‐Ni‐doping.

IN SITU DRIFTS/MS STUDIES ON THE INTERACTION OF METHANOL AND ETHYL ACETATE OVER MG-LA CATALYST [PDF]

open access: yesQuímica Nova, 2020
The surface intermediates formed on the Mg-La catalyst (molar ratio 1:1) were studied through temperature-programmed desorption (TPD) and diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy coupled to mass spectrometry (DRIFTS-MS) using methanol (

First principles study of adsorbed Cu_n (n=1-4) microclusters on MgO(100): structural and electronic properties

open access: yes, 1998
We present a density functional study of the structural and electronic properties of small Cu_n (n=1,4) aggregates on defect-free MgO(100). The calculations employ a slab geometry with periodic boundary conditions, supercells with up to 76 atoms, and ...

In Situ Constructed Magnetic Core‐Shell Hydrogen‐Bonded Organic Framework‐on‐Metal–Organic Framework Structure: an Efficient Catalyst for Peroxymonosulfate Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, a magnetic core‐shell catalyst (HOF‐on‐Fe3O4/ZIF‐67) is successfully synthesized, consisting of a metal–organic framework (ZIF‐67) with magnetic Fe3O4 as the core and a porous hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) as the shell. The catalyst efficiently activated peroxymonosulfate, resulting in rapid and effective removal of water ...

Possible Structure of Surface Active Complexes in Molten CaO-SiO2-CaF2 Slags

open access: yesНаука и техника, 2005
A section area of silicon and oxygen complexes adsorbed at the boundary of “slag-gas” separation has been calculated in accordance with the concentration dependence of surface tension in molten slags.

Photoswitchable Conductive Metal–Organic Frameworks

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A conductive material where the conductivity can be modulated remotely by irradiation with light is presented. It is based on films of conductive metal–organic framework type Cu3(HHTP)2 with embedded photochromic molecules such as azobenzene, diarylethene, spiropyran, and hexaarylbiimidazole in the pores.

Substrate strain tunes operando geometric distortion and oxygen reduction activity of CuN2C2 single-atom sites

open access: yesNature Communications, 2021
The rational design of single-atom catalysts is challenging. This work reveals a substrate-strain tuned geometry distortion of CuN2C2 single-atom site, which greatly boosts oxygen reduction activity by facilitating electron transfer to adsorbed O.

NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.
