Dense Nanofibrillar Collagen–Silica Hybrids with High Strength and ECM‐Mimetic Tissue Integration
Dense nanofibrillar collagen–silica hybrids are engineered by synchronizing collagen fibrillogenesis with silica condensation, producing printable scaffolds that unexpectedly approach native extracellular matrix organization and strength. These cell‐free constructs guide endogenous cell‐infiltration, enable localized matrix remodeling, and integrate ...

Some considerations on the center nuclei of snow crystals
P(論文) By adopting ultra-marine blue particles as standard material, a simple method for converting the X-ray intensity ratio in the energy spectra into the weight concentration ratio was developed. This method was applied to the center nuclei of snow crystals and airborne aerosol particles to find information on the origin of nuclei and particles.

A Cu‐based crystal‐glass composite with high‐density twins is identified by a fast screening technique using combinatorial sputtering together with XRD and nanoindentation mapping. This bamboo‐like structure demonstrates homogenous plastic flow and retains high strength during in situ high temperature tests, up to 1 GPa at 550°C, owing to those ...

Bio‐Inspired Molecular Events in Poly(Ionic Liquids)
Originating from dipolar and polar inter‐ and intra‐chain interactions of the building blocks, the topologies and morphologies of poly(ionic liquids) (PIL) govern their nano‐ and micro‐processibility. Modulating the interactions of cation‐anion pairs with aliphatic dipolar components enables the tunability of properties, facilitated by “bottom‐up ...

The ESR of photosensitive paramagnetic centers in ZnS:Li single crystals
The object of this work is the analysis of influence of Li impurity on behaviour of the local photosensitive paramagnetic centers PPC Fe 3+ , Cr + , А-centers in ZnS single crystals. At present it is rather important to have materials as n- and p-type conductivity for creation new optoelectronic devices on the ZnS basis. Earlier it had been shown, that

Nano‐ and Micro‐Sized Solid Materials Used as Antiviral Agents
Due to the rise of viral infections in humans and possible viral outbreaks, the use of nano‐ or micro‐sized materials as antiviral agents is rapidly increasing. This review explores their antiviral properties against RNA and DNA viruses, either as a prevention or a treatment tool, by delving into their mechanisms of action and how to properly assess ...
