Corals and Reef‐Dwelling Fish Regulate Carbon Storage and Cycling Processes in Coral Reef Ecosystems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Coral reefs are biodiversity hotspots, yet their role in carbon storage and cycling remains poorly understood. Using field surveys and modeling in the South China Sea, we reveal the overlooked potential of carbon storage in reef ecosystems and how reef fish, corals, and surface sediment jointly shape reef carbon reservoirs.

Empirical Investigations of Inflation Targeting [PDF]

open access: yes
A growing number of countries have anchored their monetary policy to an explicit numerical rate or range of inflation since such an inflation targeting framework was first adopted by New Zealand in 1989.

Determinants of Financial vs. Non Financial Stock Returns: Evidence from Istanbul Stock Exchange [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We estimate a four-factor model for a sample of financial and nonfinancial firms traded on the Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE). The factors relate to market return, interest, inflation and exchange rates.

Integrating Spatial Proteogenomics in Cancer Research

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Xx xx. ABSTRACT Background: Spatial proteogenomics marks a paradigm shift in oncology by integrating molecular analysis with spatial information from both spatial proteomics and other data modalities (e.g., spatial transcriptomics), thereby unveiling tumor heterogeneity and dynamic changes in the microenvironment.

A prospective study of the k-factor Gegenbauer processes with heteroscedastic errors and an application to inflation rates

open access: yes, 2003
We investigate some statistical properties of the new k-factor Gegenbauer process with heteroscedastic noises One of the goals of the paper is to give tools which permit to use this model to explain the behaviour of certain data sets in finance and in macroeconomics.

THE TOTAL FACTOR PRODUCTIVITY (TFP) OF THE TRADE SECTOR IN IRAN [PDF]

open access: yes
This article explores the important and effective components of the total factor productivity (Tfp) of the trade sector of Iran and estimates their effect in the recognized model by the annual data of the period of 1960-2004. First, we have estimated the

SpatialESD: Spatial Ensemble Domain Detection in Spatial Transcriptomics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Spatial transcriptomics (ST) measures gene expression while preserving spatial context within tissues. One of the key tasks in ST analysis is spatial domain detection, which remains challenging due to the complex structure of ST data and the varying performance of individual clustering methods. To address this, we propose SpatialESD, a Spatial

Persistently Increased Expression of PKMzeta and Unbiased Gene Expression Profiles Identify Hippocampal Molecular Traces of a Long‐Term Active Place Avoidance Memory and “Shadow” Proteins

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Protein complexes like KIBRA‐PKMζ are crucial for maintaining memories, forming month‐long protein traces in memory‐tagged neurons, but conventional RNA‐seq analysis fails to detect their transcript changes, leaving memory molecules undetected in the shadows of abundantly‐expressed genes.

The analysis of factors influencing the post-COVID inflation and their impact on population group-specific inflation rates in Austria

open access: yes
