Duals come and go almost everywhere, or have done so some time or other, but it is rare for such events to be chronicled so circumstantially as Lucien Tesnière did for Slovenian in his well-known chef-d'oeuvre of 1925. Tesniere's chief interest was to collect enough information to be able to chart comprehensively the dual's demise and partial ...

The theory of local mass dimension one fermions of spin one half
About a decade ago the present author in collaboration with Daniel Grumiller presented an `unexpected theoretical discovery' of spin one-half fermions with mass dimension one [JCAP 2005, PRD 2005].

Determinism in the one-way model [PDF]
We introduce a flow condition on open graph states (graph states with inputs and outputs) which guarantees globally deterministic behavior of a class of measurement patterns defined over them. Dependent Pauli corrections are derived for all such patterns,

The Approximate Capacity of the Many-to-One and One-to-Many Gaussian Interference Channels
Recently, Etkin, Tse, and Wang found the capacity region of the two-user Gaussian interference channel to within one bit/s/Hz. A natural goal is to apply this approach to the Gaussian interference channel with an arbitrary number of users.
