Amphoteric Cu‐Doping Leading to High Thermoelectric Performance in p‐Type Bismuth Antimony Telluride
This study shows that Cu plays two opposite roles in p‐type Bi0.5Sb1.5Te3 depending on the processing route. Under thermodynamic‐equilibrium bulk‐synthesis, Cu mainly occupies cation sites, increases hole concentration, preserves mobility, and slightly reduces lattice heat transport. The best‐performing composition among the investigated series reaches

Logic and the Second Law of Thermodynamics [PDF]
This paper presents a 2T thermodynamic cycle operating around the critical locus of ethylene. The cycle converts heat energy to work at a rate greater than the Carnot cycle.

Clausius’ Disgregation: A Conceptual Relic that Sheds Light on the Second Law
The present work analyzes the cognitive process that led Clausius towards the translation of the Second Law of Thermodynamics into mathematical expressions.

We adopt the energy momentum relation of charged particles to study the thermodynamics laws and weak cosmic censorship conjecture of D-dimensional f(R) AdS black holes in different phase spaces by considering charged particle absorption.

Conversion‐induced sulfur expansion generates strong mechanical constraints and localized stresses within solid‐state Li‐S cathodes. Heterogeneous solid‐electrolyte confinement creates tensile strain‐energy hotspots that govern particle cracking. Larger sulfur particles accelerate fracture, while higher porosity relaxes constraint and delays damage ...

Sociological and Economic Inequality and the Second Law [PDF]
There are two fair ways to distribute particles in boxes. The first one is the Casino’s way, namely an equal chance to any box. The second one is the thermodynamic way, namely an equal chance to any different configuration of particles and boxes.

This is an overview article that contains the discussion of the connection between information and physics at the elementary level. We present a derivation of Lindauer’s bound for heat emission during irreversible logical operation.

Thermodynamics in Modified Gravity with Curvature Matter Coupling
The first and generalized second laws of thermodynamics are studied in f(R,Lm) gravity, a more general modified theory with curvature matter coupling. It is found that one can translate the Friedmann equations to the form of first law accompanied with ...

Thermodynamics in Rastall gravity with entropy corrections
We explore the thermodynamic analysis at the apparent horizon in the framework of Rastall theory of gravity. We take different entropies such as the Bakenstein, logarithmic corrected, power law corrected, and the Renyi entropies. We investigate the first

Magneto‐Ionic Devices With Polymer‐Based Electrolytes
Polymer electrolytes are introduced for magneto‐ionic devices based on hydroxide and hydrogen ions. The magneto‐ionic effect results in a pronounced voltage‐controlled variation of coercivity in both devices. The switching speed is in the range of 100 ms.
