Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Theoretical analysis of dynamic processes for interacting molecular motors

open access: yes, 2015
Biological transport is supported by the collective dynamics of enzymatic molecules that are called motor proteins or molecular motors. Experiments suggest that motor proteins interact locally via short-range potentials.

Transductions in Arithmetic [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper we study a new relation between sentences: transducibility. The idea of transducibility is based on an analysis of Feferman's Theorem that the inconsistency of a theory U is interpretable over U.

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Mechanical Analysis of Deformation Law in the Flange Area of Box-Shaped Parts during Deep Drawing

open access: yesMachines, 2022
The investigation of deformation law is the theoretical basis for analyzing instability wrinkling and forming performance during the sheet-metal-forming process.

A theoretical analysis of the HIFF problem [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 7th annual conference on Genetic and evolutionary computation, 2005
We present a theoretical analysis of Watson's Hierarchical-if-and-only-if (HIFF) problem using a variety of tools. These include schema theory and course graining, the concept of effective fitness, and statistical analysis. We first review the use of Stephen's exact schema equations and schema basis to compute the changes in population distributions ...

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

Theoretical Modeling and Optimization of the Detection Performance: a New Concept for Electrochemical Detection of Proteins in Microfluidic Channels

open access: yes, 2006
In this work, we present a complete theoretical analysis of a new concept of electrochemical detector for application in proteomics upon considering two band microelectrodes performing in generator-collector mode.

Maximum Delay Analysis of Fixed Backoff in IEEE 802.11 Considering Significant Interference for In-Vehicle Wireless Communication

open access: yesIEEE Access
In in-vehicle wireless communication, each in-vehicle sensor terminal transmits small data in a cycle within which all terminals must transmit data successfully. Clarifying the delay characteristics in such networks is useful for the system design.
