Computing Least Fixed Points of Probabilistic Systems of Polynomials [PDF]
We study systems of equations of the form X1 = f1(X1, ..., Xn), ..., Xn = fn(X1, ..., Xn), where each fi is a polynomial with nonnegative coefficients that add up to 1. The least nonnegative solution, say mu, of such equation systems is central to problems from various areas, like physics, biology, computational linguistics and probabilistic program ...

Vacuum‐Formed Composites Based on a Polyolefin and a High Content of Biomass‐Waste Fillers
It is shown here that by the use of a very ductile polymer matrix, it is possible to vacuum‐form products that contain up to 25% of hard biofillers with still ductile properties. The results are promising and opens up for the use of engineered biocomposites derived from industrial side‐stream biofillers in vacuum‐formed products. A strategy to increase

This work reveals the phase composition and quantitative morphology analysis of precipitation‐hardened Fe32Cu12Ni11Ti16Al29 complex‐concentrated alloy. The precipitates are shown to have a high coherency. Morphology transition between sphere, cuboidal, and elongated morphology is observed. Finally, the overaging behavior is captured using microhardness.

The use of the algebraic programming in teaching general relativity [PDF]
The article presents some aspects on the use of computer in teaching general relativity for undergraduate students with some experience in computer manipulation. The article presents some simple algebraic programming (in REDUCE+EXCALC package) procedures for obtaining and the study of some exact solutions of the Einstein equations in order to convince ...

Achieving Large and Anisotropic Spin‐Mediated Thermal Transport in Textured Quantum Magnets
An advanced solvent‐cast cold pressing method is developed to synthesize highly textured quantum magnets. By aligning spin chains in Ca2CuO3 perpendicular to the pressing direction, a spin‐mediated thermal conductivity of 10 ± 1 W m⁻¹ K⁻¹ is achieved, the highest reported for polycrystalline quantum materials.
