Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

The proposed method focuses on the deformation characteristics of joints of immersed tube tunnels under cyclic load coupling. By establishing the tunnel-soil interaction model, the tunnel is simplified to the Timoshenko beam model, and the foundation is ...

THEORETICAL CALCULATIONS OF AN OSMIUM MOLECULAR SWITCH [PDF]
ABSTRACT We have investigated the molecular, electronic and optical properties of the [Os(tpy-py) 2 ] 2+ complex (tpy-py = 4’-(4-pyridyl)-2,2’:6’,2’’-terpyridine) and its protonated derivative [Os(tpy-pyH) 2 ] 4+ through Density Functional Relativistic calculations including Scalar and Spin Orbit corrections.

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Metformin mediates mitochondrial quality control in Leber's hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON) fibroblasts carrying mtDNA mutations. At therapeutic levels, metformin activates AMPK signaling to restore mitochondrial dynamics by promoting fusion and restraining fission, while preserving mitochondrial mass, enhancing autophagy/mitophagy and biogenesis ...

Hyperfine structure of S states in Li and Be^+
A large-scale configuration-interaction (CI) calculation is reported for the hyperfine splitting of the 2^2S and 3^2S states of ^7Li and ^9Be^+. The CI calculation based on the Dirac-Coulomb-Breit Hamiltonian is supplemented with a separate treatment of ...

We investigated the toxicity of 12 active compounds commonly found in herbal weight loss supplements (WLS) using human liver and colon cell models. Epigallocatechin‐3‐gallate was the only compound showing significant toxicity. Metabolic profiling revealed protein degradation, disrupted energy and lipid metabolism suggesting that the inclusion of EGCG ...
