Abstract Objective Exploring the prevalence and association between intracranial atherosclerosis (ICAS) and cerebral small vessel diseases (CSVD), this study delved beyond the current scope, utilising high‐resolution vessel wall MRI (HRVW‐MRI) to investigate how subtle changes in intracranial atherosclerotic features influence the various burdens of ...

Utilizing educational theoretical models to support effective physical education pedagogy
Physical education (PE) pedagogy has traditionally been viewed as drill-style teaching. Whilst this traditional pedagogical approach provides exposure to various skills, used within a school-based PE and sporting context, it does not demonstrate a ...

Theoretical Equivalence and Duality [PDF]
Theoretical equivalence and duality are two closely related notions: but their interconnection has so far not been well understood. In this paper I explicate the contribution of a recent schema for duality to discussions of theoretical equivalence. I argue that duality suggests a construal of theoretical equivalence in the physical sciences.

Capturing what matters: Patient‐reported LGI1‐ANTibody encephalitis outcome RatiNg scale (LANTERN)
Abstract Background LGI1‐antibody encephalitis (LGI1‐Ab‐E) is a common form of autoimmune encephalitis where most patients demonstrate ‘good’ clinician‐rated outcomes. However, more targeted questionnaires reveal numerous debilitating symptoms for many years.

Intrinsic Information-Theoretic Models
With this follow-up paper, we continue developing a mathematical framework based on information geometry for representing physical objects. The long-term goal is to lay down informational foundations for physics, especially quantum physics. We assume that we can now model information sources as univariate normal probability distributions N (μ, σ0), as ...

ABSTRACT Objective To investigate the reliability of very high‐frequency oscillations (VHFOs, 500–2000 Hz) as biomarkers in identifying the epileptogenic zone (EZ) in mesial temporal lobe epilepsy (MTLE) patients. Methods We reviewed 19 MTLE patients who underwent stereo‐electroencephalography‐guided radiofrequency thermocoagulation.

Scaling CheckMate for Game-Theoretic Security [PDF]
We present the CheckMate tool for automated verification of game-theoretic security properties, with application to blockchain protocols. CheckMate applies automated reasoning techniques to determine whether a game-theoretic protocol model is game-theoretically secure, that is, Byzantine fault tolerant and incentive compatible.
