The R-Matrix in 3d Topological BF Theory [PDF]
In this paper I study Wilson line operators in a certain type of split Chern-Simons theory on a manifold with boundaries. The resulting gauge theory is a 3d topological BF theory equivalent to a topologically twisted 3d $\mathcal N=4$ theory. I show that this theory realises solutions to the quantum Yang-Baxter equation all orders in perturbation ...

The author introduces a novel theoretical framework that suggests matter and energy are both converted from curved space. In Space Theory, gravitation is generated by the flow of space, instead of being transmitted by the graviton as in String Theory.

Polarizabilities from kaon Compton scattering
The polarizabilities of light pseudoscalar mesons can be extracted from differential cross sections for Compton scattering near threshold. While this has been accomplished for charged pions employing Primakoff reactions, a corresponding measurement for ...

Properties of flavour-singlet pseudoscalar mesons from lattice QCD
We report on the status of the determination of properties of flavour-singlet pseudoscalar mesons using Wilson twisted mass lattice QCD at maximal twist.

Modeling agents with a theory of mind: Theory–theory versus simulation theory [PDF]
Virtual training systems with intelligent agents provide an effective means to train people for complex, dynamic tasks like crisis management or firefighting. For successful training, intelligent virtual agents should be able to show believable behavior, adapt their behavior to the trainee's performance and give useful explanations about their behavior.

Eigenvalue extraction from time domain computations [PDF]
In this paper we address a fast approach for an accurate eigenfrequency extraction, taken into consideration the evaluated electric field computations in time domain of a superconducting resonant structure.

F and M Theories as Gauge Theories of Area Preserving Algebra [PDF]
F theory and M theory are formulated as gauge theories of area preserving diffeomorphism algebra. Our M theory is shown to be 1-brane formulation rather than 0-brane formulation of M theory of Banks, Fischler, Shenker and Susskind and the F theory is shown to be 1-brane formulation rather than -1-brane formulation of type IIB matrix theory of Ishibashi,

Codimension two lump solutions in string field theory and tachyonic theories [PDF]
We present some solutions for lumps in two dimensions in level-expanded string field theory, as well as in two tachyonic theories: pure tachyonic string field theory and pure $\phi^3$ theory. Much easier to handle, these theories might be used to help understanding solitonic features of string field theory.

Musikalischer Populismus und politischer Kollektivismus in den 1920er und 1930er Jahren
Much as was the case in Europe, the 1920s and 1930s in the USA and Latin America were also characterised by collectivist political concepts, which stretched beyond the bounds of ideology.

Matrix String Theory As A Generalized Quantum Theory [PDF]
Matrix String Theory of Banks, Fischler, Shenker and Susskind can be understood as a generalized quantum theory (provisionally named "quansical" theory) which differs from Adler's generalized trace quantum dynamics. The effective Matrix String Theory Hamiltonian is constructed in a particular fermionic realization of Matrix String Theory treated as an ...
