Possible Origin of Flavour Mixings in the Horizontal Gauge Theory [PDF]
It is shown that the horizontal gauge interactions with a certain type of broken gauge symmetries lead us to the non-trivial flavour mixings involving the CP violation effect. One finds out that both the radiative corrections due to the vertical gauge interactions and a non-commutativity of the surviving generators associated with the horizontal gauge ...

A flow‐through electrochemical membrane reactor equipped with a carbon nanotube membrane eliminates the mass transfer limitation, achieving removals >97.5% for steroid hormone (SH) micropollutants through electrochemical adsorption and degradation, over a broad initial concentration varying from 50 to 106 ng L−1.

Moduli stabilization and light axion by Siegel modular forms
We discuss the stabilization of multiple moduli by utilizing Siegel modular forms in the framework of Sp(2g, ℤ) modular invariant theories. For a generic modular- and CP-invariant scalar potential, we find that CP-conserving fixed points are stationary ...

Tri-hypercharge: a separate gauged weak hypercharge for each fermion family as the origin of flavour
We propose a tri-hypercharge (TH) extension of the Standard Model (SM) in which a separate gauged weak hypercharge is associated with each fermion family.

This work introduces a novel Hybrid Retinal Implant (HRI), composed of a high‐density electrode array integrated with glutamatergic neurons to overcome key limitations of current retinal prostheses. The significant reduction of activation threshold and of electrode cross‐talk yields in an improved spatial resolution.

Implications of N=4 superconformal symmetry in three spacetime dimensions
We study implications of N=4 superconformal symmetry in three dimensions, thus extending our earlier results in arXiv:1503.04961 devoted to the N=1,2,3 cases.

This review explores functional and responsive materials for triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) in sustainable smart agriculture. It examines how particulate contamination and dirt affect charge transfer and efficiency. Environmental challenges and strategies to enhance durability and responsiveness are outlined, including active functional layers ...

Multiple realizations of modular flavor symmetries and their phenomenology
We point out that specifying the finite modular group does not uniquely fix a modular flavor symmetry. We illustrate this using the finite modular group T′. Otherwise equivalent models based on different T′ lead to modular forms with different properties

Towards Testable Theories with Discrete Flavour Symmetries
The leptonic mixing matrix may be understood as a consequence of remnant symmetries of the mass matrices, which emerge from the spontaneous breakdown of a larger symmetry into smaller non-commuting subgroups. The mixing patterns that may be obtained from groups of order smaller than 1556 are presented.

Thermodynamics of lattice QCD with 3 flavours of colour-sextet quarks
We have been studying QCD with 2 flavours of colour-sextet quarks to distinguish whether it is QCD-like or conformal. For comparison we are now studying QCD with 3 flavours of colour-sextet quarks, which is believed to be conformal in the chiral limit ...
