Theory Perspective on Heavy Flavour Physics

open access: yesProceedings of The Tenth Annual Conference on Large Hadron Collider Physics — PoS(LHCP2022), 2023
We review the Spring 2022 status of the current B anomalies and their possible interpretation in terms of New Phsyics. We also discuss the discovery potential of targeted LHC and future collider searches for the underlying new particles and their complementarity with low-energy flavour observables.

D-branes in Unoriented Non-critical Strings and Duality in SO(N) and Sp(N) Gauge Theories [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We exhibit exact conformal field theory descriptions of SO(N) and Sp(N) pairs of Seiberg-dual gauge theories within string theory. The N=1 gauge theories with flavour are realized as low energy limits of the worldvolume theories on D-branes in unoriented

Adding flavour to twistor strings [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Twistor string theory is known to describe a wide variety of field theories at tree-level and has proved extremely useful in making substantial progress in perturbative gauge theory.

Higgs Branches of rank-0 5d theories from M-theory on (Aj, Al) and (Ak, Dn) singularities [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
We study the dynamics of M-theory on isolated non-toric Calabi-Yau threefold singularities of type (Aj, Al) and (Ak, Dn), engineering five-dimensional rank-zero SCFTs.

Lepton flavour violation in supergravity theories [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1989
Abstract The lepton flavour violating processes μ →e γ , μ →ee + e − and ( μ , e) conversion in the presence of nuclei are discussed in supergravity models. The dominant contribution arises from charged s-lepton mixing, if one goes beyond the tree level and includes renormalization effects.

6d SCFTs and U(1) flavour symmetries [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
A bstractWe study the behaviour of abelian gauge symmetries in six-dimensional N = (1,0) theories upon decoupling gravity and investigate abelian flavour symmetries in the context of 6d N = (1, 0) SCFTs.

Modular binary octahedral symmetry for flavor structure of Standard Model

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
We have investigated the modular binary octahedral group 2O as a flavor symmetry to explain the structure of Standard Model. The vector-valued modular forms in all irreducible representations of this group are constructed. We have classified all possible

Modular A5 symmetry for flavour model building [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
In the framework of the modular symmetry approach to lepton flavour, we consider a class of theories where matter superfields transform in representations of the finite modular group Γ5 ≃ A5.
