Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, 2007
Myocardial ischemia and peripheral vascular disease persist as significant clinical problems despite improved medical, surgical, and endovascular therapies. Advances in our understanding of the biological mechanisms that govern capillary neovascularization and collateral artery growth have enabled molecular therapies for revascularizing ischemic ...

Monoclonal antibodies had the lure of drugs very much since their first description. The ability to bind to a predetermined chemical structure stimulated the imagination of drug discoverers and developers. Nevertheless it took many years before a drug was registered which started to make good on the promise.

Moisturizers have been adapted to perform many important roles on the skin surface. Simple moisturizers combine occlusives and humectants to enhance the water-holding capacity of the skin. The addition of carefully selected emollients can influence the esthetic properties of the moisturizer and the stability of the active ingredients.
