The dielectric thermal analysis
Bulletin de Minéralogie, 1981The variation of polarization and that of dielectric constants of minerals is determined by recrystallization and chemical processes. So if the change of the dielectric constant of a mineral is measured with temperature, the unknown mineral can be identified.

Thermal Analysis of Polyurethan Elastomers
Rubber Chemistry and Technology, 1964Abstract Differential thermal analysis and thermogravimetric analysis were used to evaluate the thermal properties of several types of polyurethan elastomers. The composition of the polymers investigated was changed by varying the substrate, or soft segment, diisocyanate and extender.

Thermal analysis is defined1 by ICTA (the International Confederation for Thermal Analysis) as a ‘term covering a group of techniques in which a physical property of a substance and/or its reaction product(s) is measured as a function of temperature’. A generous interpretation of this encompasses a huge range of techniques and this chapter is confined ...

This review deals with the application of various thermal analytical methods to supramolecular compounds, with particular reference to host–guest systems. Examples include the use of dilatometry in the measurement of single crystal unit cell parameters over a range of temperatures in order to study structural phase transformations.

Thermal Gradients in Thermal Analysis Experiments
2017The concept of “sample temperature” in non-isothermal thermal analysis experiments is analyzed. From the analysis of the heat balance inside the sample, it is shown that the existence of such sample temperature is restricted to experimental conditions, where the thermal gradients are negligible.
