Erosion of Ceramic Thermal Barrier Coatings [PDF]

Abstract A study has been made to relate the erosion behavior of several experimental zirconia-base ceramic thermal barrier coatings to their processing parameters and microstructure. The incremental erosion rates were measured and each specimen was examined using optica and scanning electron microscopy.
