Gap Symmetry and Thermal Conductivity in Nodal Superconductors [PDF]
Here we consider the universal heat conduction and the angular dependent thermal conductivity in the vortex state for a few nodal superconductors. We present the thermal conductivity as a function of impurity concentration and the angular dependent thermal conductivity in a few nodal superconductors. This provides further insight in the gap symmetry of

Self-similar structure of a hot magnetized flow with thermal conduction
We have explored the structure of hot magnetized accretion flow with thermal conduction. The importance of thermal conduction in hot accretion flows has been confirmed by observations of the hot gas surrounding Sgr $A^*$ and a few other nearby galactic ...

Thermal conductivity of ethanol
We present a factorization of the Ewald sum permitting efficient computation of the reciprocal space part of the molecular representation for the heat flux vector. We use the derived expression to evaluate thermal conductivity of a model of ethanol at several near-ambient state points.

Presurgery 72‐h fasting in GB patients leads to adaptations of plasma lipids and polar metabolites. Fasting reduces lysophosphatidylcholines and increases free fatty acids, shifts triglycerides toward long‐chain TGs and increases branched‐chain amino acids, alpha aminobutyric acid, and uric acid.

We study anomalous heat conduction and anomalous diffusion in low dimensional systems ranging from nonlinear lattices, single walled carbon nanotubes, to billiard gas channels. We find that in all discussed systems, the anomalous heat conductivity can be

Effects of thermal conduction in sonoluminescence [PDF]
We show by numerical hydrodynamic calculations that there are two important effects of thermal conduction in sonoluminescence: (i) the bubble remains close to being isothermal during the expansion phase; and (ii) a cold, dense layer of air is formed at ...

The Thermal Conductivity of Liquids
This note briefly summarizes new results on the thermal conductivity of liquids which will be described in greater detail in a forthcoming number of the Proceedings of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. The results are of two kinds: in the first place measurements of the effect of pressure on thermal conductivity, and in the second place a ...

Combining melting curve analysis enhances the multiplexing capability of digital PCR. Here, we developed a 14‐plex assay to simultaneously measure single nucleotide mutations and amplifications of KRAS and GNAS, which are common driver genes in pancreatic cancer precursors. This assay accurately quantified variant allele frequencies in clinical samples

Asymmetric Heat Transfer with Linear Conductive Metamaterials [PDF]
Asymmetric heat transfer systems, often referred to as thermal diodes or thermal rectifiers, have garnered increasing interest due to their wide range of application possibilities. Most of those previous macroscopic thermal diodes either resort to nonlinear thermal conductivities with strong temperature dependence that may be quite limited by or fixed ...
