TMC4 localizes to multiple taste cell types in the mouse taste papillae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Transmembrane channel‐like 4 (TMC4), a voltage‐dependent chloride channel, plays a critical role in amiloride‐insensitive salty taste transduction. TMC4 is broadly expressed in all mature taste cell types, suggesting a possible involvement of multiple cell types in this pathway.

Ballistic phonon transport analysis of twisted graphene nanoribbons

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2020
Although an individual carbon nanotube (CNT) has superior thermal property, it is known that the property is deteriorated when forming CNT-based bulk materials such as film and fiber.

The effect of salubrinal on the endoplasmic reticulum stress pathway in heat‐stressed spermatogonial cells in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This study investigates the protective role of salubrinal against heat‐induced endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress in mouse spermatogenic cells (GC1 and GC2). By modulating the ER stress pathway, salubrinal alleviates cellular stress and supports spermatogenic cell survival, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic candidate for heat‐related infertility.

Mixed-conduction mechanism of Cr2Ge2Te6 film enabling positive temperature dependence of electrical conductivity and seebeck coefficient

open access: yesResults in Materials, 2020
A Cr2Ge2Te6 (CrGT) film is known to be a phase change material showing low-energy phase change between amorphous and crystalline phases. A crystalline Cr2Ge2Te6 (CrGT) film obtained from an amorphous phase via metastable crystalline phase has been ...

MHD simulations of coronal supra-arcade downflows including anisotropic thermal conduction

open access: yes, 2016
Coronal supra-arcade downflows (SADs) are observed as dark trails descending towards hot turbulent fan shaped regions. Due to the large temperature values, and gradients in these fan regions the thermal conduction should be very efficient.

Tumor‐stromal crosstalk and macrophage enrichment are associated with chemotherapy response in bladder cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Chemoresistance in bladder cancer: Macrophage recruitment associated with CXCL1, CXCL5 and CXCL8 expression is characteristic of Gemcitabine/Cisplatin (Gem/Cis) Non‐Responder tumors (right side) while Responder tumors did not show substantial tumor‐stromal crosstalk (left side). All biological icons are attributed to Bioicons: carcinoma, cancerous‐cell‐

Evolution of thermal conductivity of sand-clay mixtures under one-dimensional compression

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao
The aim of this study is to reveal the evolution law of natural sand-clay mixtures under varied stress conditions. A series of one-dimensional compression tests and dry density and thermal conductivity measurements are conducted on both dry and saturated

Spherical Accretion with Anisotropic Thermal Conduction

open access: yes, 2008
We study the effects of anisotropic thermal conduction on magnetized spherical accretion flows using global axisymmetric MHD simulations. In low collisionality plasmas, the Bondi spherical accretion solution is unstable to the magnetothermal instability (
