Thermal conductivity of feldspars

open access: yesBulletin de Minéralogie, 1984
Thermal conductivity of several alkali and plagioclase feldspars has been measured in the temperature range 0.3-500 K. The conductivity between 10 and 100 K is found to decrease by over one order of magnitude from albite to bytownite. In some of the feldspars, the conductivity above 100 K approaches that of the glass of composition Ab50An50, which ...

Ontology‐Based Data Acquisition, Refinement, and Utilization in the Development of a Multilayer Ferrite Inductor

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Multilayer ferrite inductor prototypes are fabricated by cofiring metallized tapes of NiCuZn ferrite and glass‐ceramic composite. Prerequisites for a predictive component simulation are discussed. An automated data‐pipeline stores and semantically links the experimental data acquired in the study according to a domain ontology.

A Case‐Based Reasoning Approach to Model Manufacturing Constraints for Impact Extrusion

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A hybrid modeling approach is presented that combines constraint‐based process modeling and case‐based reasoning. The model formalizes manufacturing constraints and integrates simulation data to model complex manufacturing processes. The approach supports manufacturability analysis during product design through an adaptive modeling environment.
