Study on Temperature Deformation of Thrust Bearing Plate

open access: yesJournal of Harbin University of Science and Technology, 2018
The temperature field of oil film on the surface of the thrust bearing is obtained according to the lubrication theory, and regarded as the temperature of the surface of mirror plate. The deformation caused by temperature of thrust plate is simulated by ...

Thermal-mechanical deformation modelling of soft tissues for thermal ablation

open access: yesBio-Medical Materials and Engineering, 2014
Modeling of thermal-induced mechanical behaviors of soft tissues is of great importance for thermal ablation. This paper presents a method by integrating the heating process with thermal-induced mechanical deformations of soft tissues for simulation and analysis of the thermal ablation process.

Harnessing Fungal Biowelding for Constructing Mycelium‐Engineered Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Mycelium‐bound composites (MBCs) offer low‐carbon alternatives for construction, yet interfacial bonding remains a critical challenge. This review examines fungal biowelding as a biocompatible adhesive, elucidating mycelium‐mediated interfacial mechanisms and their role in material assembly. Strategies to optimize biowelding are discussed, highlighting

THERMAL DEFORMATION WAVES IN HETEROGENEOUS MATERIALS

open access: yesJournal of Engineering Science (Chişinău), 2018
In the paper, a stress-strain detection method is used by correlation point interferometry, in which the resolution of the recording surface changes has been significantly (ten times) improved. This result was obtained by applying a different image-processing algorithm, which allows the recording of 3D surface changes in on-line mode.

Development of the intelligent cylindrical grinding system considering the thermal deformation of a workpiece

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Mechanical Design, Systems, and Manufacturing, 2018
In cylindrical grinding, the size accuracy of a workpiece decreases due to the thermal deformation of the ground workpiece. To improve the size accuracy, it is necessary to consider the thermal deformation of the workpiece during grinding process.
