A new flow chip in combination with multiphoton microscopy as a protocol for longitudinal 3D imaging of tissue calcification under shear stress

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Miniaturized flow chip platform enabling continuous perfusion and longitudinal multiphoton 3D imaging of vascular smooth muscle cell constructs under physiological flow. Brightfield imaging guides region selection, while CellTracker Green and mRuby‐labeled fetuin‐A visualize cells and mineral deposition, respectively. Magnesium supplementation markedly

Effect of electron thermal carriers on thermal diffusivity of metals [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
A photoflash method of thermal diffusivity measurement was used to determine the value of thermal diffusivity of a sandwiched aluminum layer in a three-layer sample when the sample is simultaneously subjected to both thermal and electric field gradients.

A simple laboratory flash apparatus for thermal diffusivity measurement: Modeling and application for composite material based on clay and straw

open access: yesCase Studies in Construction Materials, 2021
In this work. we have developed and tested a flash apparatus for thermal diffusivity measurement of building materials. After the test on homogeneous materials, this very inexpensive apparatus was then used to estimate the thermal diffusivity of some ...

Early Clinical, Imaging, and Pathological Characteristics of SRPK3/TTN‐Digenic Myopathy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective SRPK3/TTN‐digenic myopathy was recently established as a skeletal muscle myopathy caused by digenic inheritance. This study characterizes the early clinical presentation of SRPK3/TTN‐digenic myopathy in one previously reported and seven newly identified pediatric patients.

Influence FF Concentration to Thermal Diffusivity in Liquid Form using Photopyroelectric (PPE) Setup and Dual-Beam Mode-Mismatched Thermal Lens Method with Different Optical Sensors

open access: yesIndonesian Journal of Applied Physics
This study examines the effect of concentration on thermal diffusivity in nano-liquid formulations using the thermal lens method. Standard liquids and nano-liquid samples with varied concentrations were prepared and analyzed.

Modelling Thermal Diffusivity of Heterogeneous Materials Based on Thermal Diffusivities of Components with Implications for Thermal Diffusivity and Thermal Conductivity Measurement

open access: yesInternational Journal of Thermophysics, 2022
AbstractEffective thermal diffusivity models are useful for predicting thermal diffusivities of heterogeneous materials. The literature contains models that may be broadly categorised into four different types: (1) effective thermal diffusivity for highly specific applications (e.g.

Tactile perception of thermal diffusivity [PDF]

open access: yesAttention, Perception, & Psychophysics, 2009
The thermal diffusivity of an object is a parameter that controls the rate at which heat is extracted from the hand when it touches that object. It is an important feature for distinguishing materials by means of touch. In order to quantitatively describe the ability of human observers to discriminate between materials on the basis of heat extraction ...

Recurrent Hypothermia and Autonomic Dysfunction Secondary to Shapiro Syndrome

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A 44‐year‐old man presented with recurrent hypothermia, diaphoresis and hypertension. Extensive investigation for infectious, inflammatory, metabolic and endocrine aetiologies was negative. MR scan of the brain demonstrated no lesions but revealed callosal dysgenesis, consistent with Shapiro syndrome.

Regularity criteria for the two-and-half-dimensional magnetic Bénard system with partial dissipation, magnetic diffusion, and thermal diffusivity

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2019
This paper concentrates on the global regularity of classical solution to the 212 $2\frac{1}{2}$D magnetic Bénard system with partial dissipation, magnetic diffusion, and thermal diffusivity (i.e., horizontal dissipation, horizontal magnetic diffusion ...
