Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a rare autoimmune disease defined by immune dysregulation, vasculopathy, and progressive fibrosis of the skin and internal organs. Despite advances in care, major complications such as interstitial lung disease (ILD) and myocardial involvement remain the leading causes of morbidity and mortality.

Research on Gear Modification Considering Thermal Deformation
When the gears work under high-speed and heavy-load conditions, the effects of friction and wear cannot be ignored. The gear modification can reduce gear wear and surface temperature, and has a significant effect on improving the anti-scuffing ability of gears. Thus, the heat distortion and modification of gears are studied. Based on the basic theories

ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

INFLUENCE OF THERMAL TREATMENT OF THE BASALT TUFA ON ITS PHASE COMPOSITION AND SORPTION CAPACITY
The results reflecting influence of thermal treatment of basalt tufa (BT) on its phase composition and capacity of some heavy metal ions (Cu2+, Mn2+, Ni2+, Pb2+, Zn2+) sorption under the static conditions are presented.

The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Thermoreflectance Detection of Point Defects Resulting from Focused Ion Beam Milling
Focused ion beam (FIB) milling is a common tool for nanoscale material processing, however irradiation damage, redeposition, and contamination can occur. We use several characterization tools to show FIB‐induced effects beyond 1 mm from the milled area.

Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for
