THERMAL PERFORMANCE OF DIABATIC CYCLIC REGENERATORS
Numerical Heat Transfer, Part A: Applications, 1986Mathematical models describing the operation of diabatic regenerators have been derived and solved numerically using finite-difference schemes for the prediction of system thermal performance. The present formulations include the effects of radial conduction and storage of heat in the regenerator walls as well as heat loss, which can be quite important

Thermal Performance Study on Pulsed Inductor
IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science, 2014Based on the features of large heating power per unit volume and small cooling surface area, the thermal management is one of the key technologies and plays a significant role for the pulsed inductor. A mathematical model which describes the heat transfer and thermal accumulation processes with the operating condition of periodic pulse loading for the ...

Ion thruster thermal characteristics and performance
9th Electric Propulsion Conference, 1972Experimental and analytical results for a typical 20-cm-diam, hollow-cathode ion thrustor are reported. The foundation of the investigation was the application of thermal model correction techniques. Pertinent thermal properties and plasma heating characteristics of the thrustor were determined through correlation and integration of temperature ...

Thermal Performance on Unglazed Photovoltaic Thermal Polymer Collector
Advanced Materials Research, 2014In this study, the thermal efficiency of a polymer collector with unglazed photovoltaic thermal (PVT) system was determined. Overall heat loss was estimated using the heat energy balance method. Based on the analysis, the heat removal factor of the PVT system was found to be 0.55.

Receiver Thermal Performance: Theory
1986This paper discusses topics which are revelant to the quantitative evaluation of the thermal performance of a solar receiver. It outlines the general problem of thermal balance by considering the heat transport equation as an element of the receiver wall and describing the difficulties which must be solved or circumvented to arrive at numerical ...
