The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.

NUMERICAL SIMULATIONS OF OSCILLATORY THERMAL RESPONSE TESTS
Thermal response tests are the most popular in-situ technique to assess ground thermal conductivity and borehole thermal resistance. Conventional tests with a constant heat injection rate do not allow to infer the ground heat capacity. Oscillatory tests are proposed as a tool to evaluate subsurface thermal diffusivity and estimate the heat capacity ...

Time‐restricted feeding (TRF) in mice increased liver fatty acid oxidation and decreased fatty acid biosynthesis. These alterations persisted when TRF was discontinued and the host was infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Pre‐exposure to TRF did not alter tissue (lung and spleen) mycobacterial burden but significantly reduced CD3+ T cells in lungs

The energy slab is a novel type of horizontal Ground Heat Exchanger (GHEX), where heat exchange pipes are encased in building slab structures. The thermal performance of energy slabs is usually inferior to the conventional closed-loop vertical GHEX ...

TisIBP8, a fungal‐derived hyperactive ice‐binding protein, helps Caenorhabditis elegans survive dehydration. It localizes near cell membranes, reduces cell damage, and helps maintain membrane structure during drying. These results suggest that ice‐binding proteins can protect cells from dehydration stress as well as freezing stress.

Loss of AMBRA1 activates MAPK and angiogenesis signaling pathways in melanoma cells
Loss of AMBRA1 in melanoma cells activates multiple oncogenic pathways associated with tumor progression. Transcriptomic and protein network analyses revealed that AMBRA1 depletion enhances MAPK/ERK signaling, angiogenesis, TGF‐β/EMT signaling, and Wnt/axon guidance pathways.

ESTIMATION OF SOIL AND GROUT THERMAL PROPERTIES THROUGHGEOTHERMAL RESPONSE TEST [PDF]
The Thermal Response Test (TRT) is a method often adopted in geothermal application, especially in vertically oriented loops, to recover the values of the soil and the grout thermal properties necessary to the design of ground heat exchangers (GHE); the ...
