Thermal Diffusion and Convective Stability
The Physics of Fluids, 1972The stability of a two-component fluid layer subjected to a temperature gradient has been studied, and the associated thermal diffusion separation has been found to exert a large influence even when the separations are small. The most unexpected and perhaps important result is that an instability has been found which can give rise to convection ...

Thermal stability of ferroelectric memories
30th Annual Proceedings Reliability Physics 1992, 1992The authors review the latest fatigue and aging data on ferroelectric memory products and discuss thermal characteristics which limit the nonvolatile data retention storage temperature. They evaluate the effects of thermal excursions on the remanent polarization level in polycrystalline films.

Thermal stability of prehospital medications
Annals of Emergency Medicine, 1989To evaluate the effect of prolonged environmental extremes on common prehospital medications, four identical sets of 23 drugs were placed in a simulated environment for up to four weeks. Subsequently, the samples were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry for evidence of degradation byproducts.

Thermal behaviour and stability in Olanzapine
International Journal of Pharmaceutics, 2005The stability and thermal behaviour of two anhydrate phases and a new mixed water:DMSO solvate of Olanzapine (2-methyl-4-(4-methyl-1-piperazinyl)-10H-thieno-[2,3-b][1,5]benzodiazepine) are studied by different methods: differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD) and Raman scattering (RS).

Thermal stabilities of globular proteins
Biochemistry, 1989Statistical thermodynamic theory has recently been developed to account for the stabilities of globular proteins. Here we extend that work to predict the dependence on temperature. Folding is assumed to be driven by solvophobic interactions and opposed by the conformational entropy.
