Vestibular Patient Journey: Insights From Vestibular Disorders Association (VeDA) Registry

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Vestibular symptoms impose a high burden of disability. Understanding real‐world diagnostic and treatment pathways can identify care gaps and guide interventions. We aimed to characterize symptom profiles, diagnostic trends, provider involvement, and treatment patterns in vestibular disorders.

Thermal Casimir effect in Kerr space–time

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2015
We investigate the thermal Casimir effect of a massless scalar field for two parallel plates moving in the equatorial orbit in Kerr space-time. Under the assumption that the typical cavity size is much smaller than the orbital radius, proposed by Sorge, we deduce the analytical expression of the renormalized free energy in this curved space-time.

Thermal Time Constant - TTC

open access: yes, 2022
The design of a building's exterior walls has an important influence on energy consumption, building cost and thermal comfort. It influences also heating and cooling devices’ size. Optimization of energy consumption of the building requires consideration of the building materials, their thickness and mass, type and thickness of insulation, and location

Early Clinical, Imaging, and Pathological Characteristics of SRPK3/TTN‐Digenic Myopathy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective SRPK3/TTN‐digenic myopathy was recently established as a skeletal muscle myopathy caused by digenic inheritance. This study characterizes the early clinical presentation of SRPK3/TTN‐digenic myopathy in one previously reported and seven newly identified pediatric patients.

Comparative study of ANN and ANFIS prediction models for thermal error compensation on CNC machine tools

open access: yes, 2013
Thermal errors can have significant effects on CNC machine tool accuracy. The errors usually come from thermal deformations of the machine elements created by heat sources within the machine structure or from ambient change.

The Tale of the Residual Tail: Insights From Continuous Intracranial Monitoring From Post‐Hippocampectomy Dynamics

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Subtotal hippocampal resection can leave residual hippocampal tissue, yet the immediate postoperative electrophysiologic evolution of such remnants is unknown. We describe a patient with drug‐resistant temporal lobe epilepsy in whom a hippocampal remnant was continuously monitored using a responsive neurostimulator (RNS) following subtotal ...

Thermal-aware SoC test scheduling with test set partitioning and interleaving

open access: yes, 2006
High temperature has become a major problem for system-on-chip testing. In order to reduce the test application time while keeping the temperatures of the cores under test within safe ranges, a thermal-aware test scheduling technique is required.

Proper time to the singularity and thermal correlators

open access: yesPhysical Review D
We study certain higher-point thermal correlators of heavy and light scalar primaries in a holographic conformal field theory. Assuming simple self-interactions and couplings of the scalars in the bulk theory, we show that the thermal correlators contain a signature of the proper time to singularity from the horizon.
