Physical Time and Thermal Clocks [PDF]

open access: yesFoundations of Physics, 2016
In this paper I discuss the concept of time in physics. I consider the thermal time hypothesis and I claim that thermal clocks and atomic clocks measure different physical times, whereby thermal time and relativistic time are not compatible with each other.

Determination of cardinal temperatures and thermal time requirement during germination and emergence of chickpea genotypes (Cicer arietinum L.) [PDF]

open access: yesپژوهش‌های حبوبات ایران, 2012
Determination of cardinal temperatures during seed germination and emergence as well as the thermal time requirement for each stage is essential in crop management and modeling of plant growth and development.

Thermal contact: mischief and time scales [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Physics A: Mathematical and Theoretical, 2019
We discuss what kind of quantum channels can enable thermalization processes. We show that in order to determine a system's temperature, a thermometer needs to dynamically gain information about the system's local Hamiltonian and not just its state. We illustrate this showing that any temperature measurement protocol that does not resolve the system's ...

Emissão e expansão foliar em três genótipos de tomateiro (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) Leaf emergence and expansion in three tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) genotypes

Thermal Niche for Seed Germination and Species Distribution Modelling of Swietenia macrophylla King (Mahogany) under Climate Change Scenarios

open access: yesPlants, 2021
Swietenia macrophylla is an economically important tree species propagated by seeds that lose their viability in a short time, making seed germination a key stage for the species recruitment.

Growing Degree Day Climatology in Aydın, Türkiye

open access: yesTurkish Journal of Agriculture: Food Science and Technology
Plants need to accumalate heat to complete a particular or whole growth period. This accumalation depends on temperature thresholds above or below which plant growth ceases, and on air temperature.

Temperatura base para emissão de folhas e nós, filocrono e plastocrono das plantas daninhas papuã e corriola Base temperature for leaf and node appearance, phyllochron and plastochron in the weeds Alexander grass and Morning glory

Thermal conductivity of hot pionic medium due to pion self-energy for $\pi\sigma$ and $\pi\rho$ loops

open access: yes, 2015
The thermal conductivity of pionic medium has been evaluated with the help of its standard expression from the relaxation time approximation, where inverse of pion relaxation time or pion thermal width has been obtained from the imaginary part of pion ...

Time-dependent thermoelectric transport for nanoscale thermal machines

open access: yes, 2016
We analyze an electronic nanoscale thermal machine driven by time-dependent environment: besides bias and gate voltage variations, we consider also the less prevailing time modulation of the couplings between leads and dot.

Functional Traits, Morphology, and Herbage Production of Vernalised and Non-Vernalised Chicory cv. Choice (Cichorium intybus L.) in Response to Defoliation Frequency and Height

open access: yesPlants, 2020
Chicory (Cichorium intybus L.) used in pastoral systems has the attributes required of a forage species to reduce animal urinary nitrogen loading to soil, increase milk production, and enhance milk fatty acid profile to improve pastoral farm systems for ...
