European Journal of Wood and Wood Products, 2021The swelling kinetics of native and thermally modified wood was studied. Norway spruce, Scots pine, European beech, and English oak specimens of dimensions 20 × 20 × 10 mm were modified at 180, 200, and 220 °C. The swelling kinetics of the specimens was monitored during 24 h of water immersion.
