Thermoacoustic Refrigerator for High Temperature Gradient [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
Leakage of HFCs, thermal shocks to sensitive devices, moving mechanical components which in turn require more maintenance, are some of the cons of a conventional vapor compression system .The newest field in refrigeration overcoming such flaws is ...

Study on heat transfer law of moving temperature variable gas in thermoacoustic plate stack [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports
Taking gas and the heat transfer process between gas and plate as the research object, the mathematical model of heat transfer in one working cycle by moving variable temperature air mass under the action of sound field is established, which provides a ...

Thermoacoustic refrigeration [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
A new refrigerator which uses resonant high amplitude sound in inert gases to pump heat is described and demonstrated. The phasing of the thermoacoustic cycle is provided by thermal conduction. This 'natural' phasing allows the entire refrigerator to operate with only one moving part (the loudspeaker diaphragm).

Modular thermoacoustic refrigerator [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1993
A thermoacoustic refrigerator was built to explore scaling to large heat flux. The refrigerator was constructed according to a modular design so that various stack, heat exchanger, and resonator sections are easily interchangeable. The resonator is driven by a commercial 10-in. woofer. Initial tests, using pure helium gas as the working fluid and steel
