Thermochromic Infrared Metamaterials [PDF]
An infrared artificial thermochromic material composed of a metamaterial emitter and a bimaterial micro-electro-mechanical system is investigated. A differential emissivity of over 30% is achieved between 623 K and room temperature. The passive metamaterial device demonstrates the ability to independently control the peak wavelength and temperature ...

Scissor-like Au4Cu2 Cluster with Phosphorescent Mechanochromism and Thermochromism
Reaction of [Au(tht)2](ClO4) (tht = tetrahydrothiophene), [Cu(CH3CN)4](ClO4), 3,6-di-tert-butyl-1,8-diethynyl-9H-carbazole (H3decz), and bis(2-diphenylphosphinophenyl)ether (POP) in the presence of triethylamine (NEt3) gave the cluster complex Au4Cu2 ...

A Thermochromic Superhydrophobic Surface [PDF]
AbstractHighly enhanced solid-state thermochromism is observed in regioregular poly(3-hexylthiophene), P3HT, when deposited on a superhydrophobic polymer-SiO2 nanocomposite coating. The conformal P3HT coating on the nanocomposite surface does not alter or reduce superhydrophicity while maintaining its reversible enhanced thermochromism.

Four Thermochromic o-Hydroxy Schiff Bases of α-Aminodiphenylmethane: Solution and Solid State Study
More than a hundred years after the first studies of the photo- and thermochromism of o-hydroxy Schiff bases (imines), it is still an intriguing topic that fascinates several research groups around the world. The reasons for such behavior are still under

Rapidly Diversifying Hydrogen‐Bonded Organic Frameworks With Permanent Porosity
This article reviews diversifying hydrogen‐bonded organic frameworks (HOFs) with permanent porosity reported over the past 15 years, based on the molecular structures of their constituent tectons. Furthermore, several distinctive aspects and concepts are described, such as permanent porosity, isostructural (isoreticular) HOFs, and multicomponent mixed ...
