Thermodynamic analysis of chimney

International Journal of Exergy, 2009
Thermodynamic analysis, including energy and exergy, was applied for studying a chimney phenomenon. The mathematical model of a chimney was derived and used for evaluation of output trends responsive to change of some input parameters. It was proposed to use chimney efficiency as a measure of waste heat recovery.

Thermodynamical Analysis of Life I. Thermodynamics of transient phenomena

Journal of the Physical Society of Japan, 1953
The idea of the quasi-static change is based on the local equilibrium. It will be generalized on the base of molecular kinetics. Let us consider the quasi-chemical reaction of the type \begin{aligned} \sum\nu_{js}A_{j}\rightarrow \sum\nu_{ks}A_{k}, \end{aligned} the rate of this reaction be \(\dot{q}_{s}\) and the distribution function of A i be n i ...

Thermodynamic analysis of the province of Ravenna (Italy).

Annali di chimica, 2002
This is a thermodynamic analysis of the Province of Ravenna (Italy) and its districts (Ravenna, Faenza and Lugo) and an evaluation of entropy waste production based on a balance sheet of greenhouse gases. The method used is energy analysis. The results show that the Province and Ravenna are characterized by a heavy exploitation of local non renewable ...
