Calculation of thermodynamic parameters of metals
Method of calculation of thermodynamic parameters of metals has been developed. Based on the thermodynamic parameters of the metals, it is shown that the Gibbs molar volumetric energy has a negative value.

Thermodynamic description of the Mg-O and Al-O systems [PDF]
The thermodynamic properties of oxides have a considerable influence on the corrosion behavior of alloys. MgO and Al2O3 are important products in the corrosion process of Mg-Al alloys, therefore it is necessary to investigate their thermodynamic ...

A consideration of the correct calculation of thermodynamic parameters of adsorption [PDF]
The Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm equations have been widely used for interpreting various adsorption processes. There are, however, many serious mistakes in the literature in determination or calculation of thermodynamic parameters, especially in the

Parameter Estimation as a Problem in Statistical Thermodynamics [PDF]
In this work, we explore the connections between parameter fitting and statistical thermodynamics using the maxent principle of Jaynes as a starting point. In particular, we show how signal averaging may be described by a suitable one particle partition function, modified for the case of a variable number of particles.

Intensive thermodynamic parameters in nonequilibrium systems [PDF]
Considering a broad class of steady-state nonequilibrium systems for which some additive quantities are conserved by the dynamics, we introduce from a statistical approach intensive thermodynamic parameters (ITPs) conjugated to the conserved quantities. This definition does not require any detailed balance relation to be fulfilled.

Stochastic thermodynamics with odd controlling parameters [PDF]
Stochastic thermodynamics extends the notions and relations of classical thermodynamics to small systems that experience strong fluctuations. The definitions of work and heat and the microscopically reversible condition are two key concepts in the current framework of stochastic thermodynamics.
