The Evolution of Laser‐Induced Damage Patterns in Polymer Stabilized Liquid Crystals: Insights From Morphological Characterization and Thermo‐Driven Simulations

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A dual‐domain PSLC architecture enables direct comparison of alignment‐dependent laser damage within a single device. Crack‐like and seal‐like morphologies emerge under different damage conditions, and their evolution is interpreted through quantitative image analysis and heat‐driven simulations.

Piezoelectric thermoelastic dissipation research of piezoelectric harvester under different vibration

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
Piezoelectric materials are widely used to form piezoelectric energy harvesters. Also, the thermoelastic dissipation always influences the energy harvesting efficiency, during the energy harvest process. Therefore, in this paper, we discuss the effect of

Long-Time Behavior of Quasilinear Thermoelastic Kirchhoff-Love Plates with Second Sound [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We consider an initial-boundary-value problem for a thermoelastic Kirchhoff & Love plate, thermally insulated and simply supported on the boundary, incorporating rotational inertia and a quasilinear hypoelastic response, while the heat effects are ...

Photonic Time Crystals and Time‐Varying Electromagnetic Metamatter: A New Direction for Ultrafast Tunable Photonic and Microwave Materials and Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Photonic time crystals (PTCs) are systems in which electromagnetic parameters are modulated periodically in time, producing momentum bandgaps via temporal scattering rather than spatial Bragg processes. This review examines the theoretical frameworks, modeling, and computational tools for time‐varying media, and summarizes experimental demonstrations ...

Silicon mirror suspensions for gravitational wave detectors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
One of the most significant limits to the sensitivity of current, and future, long-baseline interferometric gravitational wave detectors is thermal displacement noise of the test masses and their suspensions.

NIR‐II Imaging‐Guided Photothermal Activation of a TRPV4‐Targeted Nanoplatform Delivering Cycloastragenol to Promote Microglia Reprogramming and α‐Synuclein Clearance in Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Current therapies for Parkinson's disease (PD) fail to concurrently address α‐synuclein (α‐syn) aggregation and microglia‐mediated neuroinflammation. Herein, we engineer a near‐infrared‐II (NIR‐II) phototheranostic nanoplatform, CAG/FD1080@MM‐aTRPV4, for synergistic regulation of microglial function and real‐time monitoring of PD pathology. We

Review of thermoelasticity theory in rocks and its applications in geophysics

open access: yes地球与行星物理论评, 2021
Thermoelasticity describes the properties of elastomer under the influence of temperature, which is the generalization of elasticity. Compared with elasticity, thermoelasticity theory is more accurate to describe the physical state of elastic media under
