TL and OSL study of Li2B4O7:Cu,Ag synthesized by combustion and solid-state reactions

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Radiation Sciences, 2022
The aim of this work was to investigate the Thermoluminescence (TL) and the Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL) responses of Li2B4O7: Cu, Ag synthesized using two method: a) solid-state and b) liquid combustion methods. In both procedures 0.4% mol of

Persistent luminescence in Eu2+-doped compounds : a review [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In 1996, Matsuzawa et al. reported on the extremely long-lasting afterglow of SrAl2O4:Eu2+ codoped with Dy3+ ions, which was more than 10-times brighter than the previously widely used ZnS:Cu,Co.

Use of Terbium Doped Phosphate Glasses for High Dose Radiation Dosimetry—Thermoluminescence Characteristics, Dose Response and Optimization of Readout Method

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
The phosphate glass samples doped with Tb2O3 oxide (general formula: P2O5-Al2O3-Na2O-Tb2O3) were synthesized and studied for usage in high-dose radiation dosimetry (for example, in high-activity nuclear waste disposals).

Thermoluminescence of Kaolinite [PDF]

open access: yesRadiation Protection Dosimetry, 1999
Natural kaolinite (size < 5 ¿m) shows strong thermoluminescence (TL) which could be linked with water loss (~ 120°C peak) and dehydroxylation changes (~ 300°C peak). After 100 min of dehydration at room temperature, kaolinite displays microcracks, isothermal luminescence emissions and the starting point of a desiccation plateau.

Evaluation of glasses containing cadmium for high dose dosimetry by the thermoluminescence technique

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Radiation Sciences, 2017
New glass matrices were evaluated for high dose dosimetry by the thermoluminescence technique. Their nominal composition are 20Li2CO3.10Al2O3.15CdO.55B2O3 and 20Li2CO3.10Al2O3.20CdO.50B2O3 (mol%).
