Numerical analysis of thermomagnetic generators

Thermomagnetic generators allow direct conversion of heat energy to electrical energy. Temperature cycling about or near the Curie temperature causes changes in magnetization, resulting in time variant magnetic flux and induced voltage in a surrounding conductor.

Application of thermomagnetic analysis to picroilmenite investigation

Abstract Picroilmenite samples from five kimberlite pipes of the Yakutian kimberlite province have been studied. Point microprobe analyses of two mutually perpendicular profiles of each sample were carried out to study the compositional inhomogeneity of picroilmenite. Thermomagnetic curves were also recorded for each sample.

A scaling analysis to characterize thermomagnetic convection

Abstract Thermomagnetic convection is characterized using scaling arguments. We consider a square enclosure filled with a ferrofluid that is under the influence of an external magnetic field created by a line dipole. The height-averaged Nusselt number scales with the magnetic Rayleigh number as Nu ∼ Ra m 0 . 25 .

THERMOMAGNETIC ANALYSIS AND ORE GENESIS

AbstractA thermomagnetic analysis of ferromagnetic invar was made by the diffraction procedure utilizing the electorns accelerated over 200 keV. An electron beam served for heating the specimen by electron bombardment. An empirical formula has been proposed for analying the observations.

Metal evaporated (ME) tape is being developed as an advanced medium for high-density magnetic tape recording. It is produced by evaporation in an oxygen atmosphere, and consists of very small Co and CoNi crystallites intermingled with oxides of Co and Ni.
