Effect of fibre treatments on interfacial shear strength of hemp fibre reinforced polylactide and unsaturated polyester composites [PDF]
Surface treatment of hemp fibres was investigated as a means of improving interfacial shear strength (IFSS) of hemp fibre reinforced polylactide (PLA) and unsaturated polyester (UPE) composites. Fibres were treated with sodium hydroxide, acetic anhydride,

Enzymatic degradation of biopolymers in amorphous and molten states: mechanisms and applications
This review explains how polymer morphology and thermal state shape enzymatic degradation pathways, comparing amorphous and molten biopolymer structures. By integrating structure–reactivity principles with insights from thermodynamics and enzyme engineering, it highlights mechanisms that enable efficient polymer breakdown.

Preparation and properties of thermoplastic starch/bentonite nanocomposites [PDF]
Thermoplastic starch (TPS)/bentonite nanocomposites containing up to 7.5 wt.% bentonite were prepared. Maize starch was plasticized with glycerol and water, in presence or absence of bentonite, in a twin-screw extruder.
