Magnetic Nanoparticles Encapsulated Within a Thermoresponsive Polymer
Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, 2009This study describes a facile two-step approach to modify the surface of nanoparticles, thereby imparting a core-shell structure to the system. The core consists of magnetic nanoparticles and the shell is composed of thermoresponsive hydroxypropyl cellulose, using a coupling agent to covalently bind the core to the shell.

Thermoresponsive polymer-modified microfibers for cell separations
Acta Biomaterialia, 2017Thermoresponsive polymer-modified microfibers were prepared through electrospinning of poly(4-vinylbenzyl chloride) (PVBC) and subsequent surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerization for grafting poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PIPAAm). Electrospinning conditions were optimized to produce large-diameter (20μm) PVBC microfibers.

Macromolecular Rapid Communications, 2015Pillararene‐containing thermoresponsive polymers are synthesized via reversible addition–fragmentation chain transfer polymerization using pillararene derivatives as the effective chain transfer agents for the first time.
