Learning a Distributed Control Scheme for Demand Flexibility in Thermostatically Controlled Loads [PDF]
Demand flexibility is increasingly important for power grids, in light of growing penetration of renewable generation. Careful coordination of thermostatically controlled loads (TCLs) can potentially modulate energy demand, decrease operating costs, and increase grid resiliency.

Polymorph‐Specific Electronic Transduction in WO3 during Molecular Sensing
Metal‐oxide polymorphs with similar surface chemistry can nevertheless exhibit distinct sensing properties. In γ‐ and ε‐WO3, analyte adsorption appears comparable; yet, only ε‐WO3 induces a pronounced lattice electronic perturbation that accommodates charge in sub‐conduction band minimum states.

Stacked nanoflake assembly (SNA) membranes can oscillate autonomously, offering opportunities for soft actuation and energy harvesting. This work uncovers the physical mechanism behind the sustained oscillation of SNA membranes in gradient humidity and identifies three governing dimensionless parameters, enabling rational design for optimizing SNA ...

A Stackelberg Game Approach for Price Response Coordination of Thermostatically Controlled Loads
In this paper, we study the demand response of the thermostatically controlled loads (TCLs) to control their set-point temperatures by considering the tradeoff between the electricity payment and TCL user’s comfort preference.

A Day-Ahead Scheduling of Equivalent Energy Storage Model Considering Minimum-On-Off Time
In order to make Thermostatically Controlled Loads (TCLs) better meet the scheduling requirements, a day-ahead scheduling of equivalent energy storage model that takes into account of the minimum-on-off time is established.

This work proposes a novel strategy to fabricate unimolecular pyroptosis photoinitiators activated by deep‐red light at low light doses. It relies on a photosensitization mechanism to trigger nitric oxide (NO) release from benzisothiadiazole‐based N‐nitrosanilines without modification of nitro moieties, thereby boosting pyroptosis‐mediated ...
