Local magnetization in thes-d model

Il Nuovo Cimento B Series 10, 1969
A calculation of the local magnetization in thes-d model is made up to terms of second order in «J ». It is shown that, assuming a constant density of states symmetric about the Fermi level, one obtains a singular contribution to the local magnetization in the limit of small magnetic fields whose value is\(\left\langle {S^z } \right\rangle _{\sin g ...

Eigenphases of theS-matrix at high energy

Il Nuovo Cimento A, 1973
In the spirit of a statistical approach to theS-matrix, we discuss the concept of resonant state and we are led to generalize the eigenphase formalism to many-particle processes. We show that the object to be considered is the connected part of theS-matrix at fixed total four-momentum and we give strong arguments in favour of the conjecture that this ...

On time delay in theS-wave scattering

Lettere Al Nuovo Cimento Series 2, 1985
We have found that the time delay of theS-wave zero-energy resonance scattering must be expressed as the sum of the ordinary term 2(dδ0/de) and the now term 2/Г. WhereГ denotes the half-width of wave packet, and dδ0/de does the derivative of theS-wave phase shift with respect to energy.

“Saying thes woordes or the lyke”

2020
This chapter examines the forms and functions of speech representation in Early Modern English correspondence using corpus-based methods. It considers how the sociopragmatic properties of speech representation are shaped by the communicative context of letter-writing, and identifies key similarities and differences with speech representation in other ...

On a construction of theS-matrix in QED

Il Nuovo Cimento A, 1983
The construction proceeds in three steps: At first the electron-positron field is quantized in a fixedC-number potentialA (external-field problem). The correspondingS-operator is uniquely determined up to a phase depending onA. The second step is the construction of this phase by using causality.

On theS-Invariance Property forS-Flows

2010

The Missing Mythology: Bar thes in Québec

Canadian Journal of Film Studies, 1997

Elements of theS-gene complex V. Interspecific cross-compatibility relationships and theory of the evolution of theS complex

Genetica, 1969
Interspecific crosses among 27 species ofNicotiana, including all six S.I. species of the genus, revealed a complex, but highly systematic pattern of unilateral incompatibility, apparently encompassing the whole genus. There was a definite relationship between the type of incompatibility and the site of inhibition: in interspecific incompatibility the ...

Experimental testing of the analyticity structure of theS-matrix

Il Nuovo Cimento A, 1967
A tentative experimental test of the analyticity structure of theS-matrix in low-energy nucleon-nucleon scattering is performed by showing that among an appreciable number of functions describing the energy dependence of phase shifts in proton-proton scattering dynamics, satisfying various threshold and asymptotic requirements, those having ...

Thermally enhanced α-decay and thes-process

Astrophysics and Space Science, 1971
In this paper temperature enhanced α-decay at high stellar temperatures is investigated in conjunction withs-process nucleosynthesis. The temperature dependence of α-decay is the result of more energetic, hence faster, decay from thermally excited nuclear states.
