A critical review of theS/L reliability index
Journal of Psychopathology and Behavioral Assessment, 1985The meaning and properties of a commonly used index of reliability, S/L,were examined critically. It was found that the index does not reflect any conventional concept of reliability. When used for an identical behavioral observation session, it is not statistically correlated with other reliability indices.

The generalized cluster decomposition of theS-matrix
Il Nuovo Cimento B Series 10, 1969The cluster decomposition of theS-matrix for arbitrary measurements (including nonasymptotic measurements) is derived from a generalized first cluster property. The corresponding connected part of theS-matrix is then shown to satisfy a connected unitarity relation containing terms not present when only asymptotic measurements are considered.

A possible unitarity defect of theS-matrix
Il Nuovo Cimento A, 1994The familiar analogy in the quantum theory between the time evolution of an isolated system and the thermal equilibrium of a system with a thermostat or heat reservoir leads us to the hypothesis of a «temporal equilibrium» of any so-called isolated system with the physical space-time.

Angular momentum continuation from thes-wave
Il Nuovo Cimento A, 1968In potential scattering theory we consider the question of the angular-momentum continuation of the radial wave function. We assume that at a fixed value ofl (s-wave) we can solve the radial wave equation for both the regular solution (wave function) and the irregular solution. From this knowledge we construct an integral equation for the wave function

TheS-matrix with the generalized potential and its asymptotic behavior
Il Nuovo Cimento A Series 10, 1966Starting from the Mandelstam representation with the strip approximation, an integral equation is obtained for the signature of partial-wave amplitudes. In addition to a long-range generalized potential, a short-range generalized potential is introduced here in order to express the effects from distant singularities. High-energy effects at low momentum

Stochastic field theory: theS-matrix
Il Nuovo Cimento, 1963A modified definition of the stochastic S-matrix ensemble {S(L)} was given. It had only finite matrix elements in any order, was unitary, and seemed to satisfy all other requirements. (C.E.S.)

Bounds on the derivatives of theS andD partial waves
Il Nuovo Cimento A, 1973Upper and lower bounds for the derivatives of theS andD partial waves in terms of theD partial wave are given. These bounds can be improved only by using unitarity.

Extrapolation of theS-matrix from lehmann’s representation
Il Nuovo Cimento, 1965The extrapolation of theS-matrix to complex angular momenta is obtained using Lehmann’s representation of the amplitude for the elastic scattering. TheS-matrix obtained is an analytic regular function in the half-plane Rel>l0.

A constructive determination of theS-matrix for singular potentials
Il Nuovo Cimento A, 1971We develop a constructive method for the determination of theS-matrix for singular potentials. We illustrate the method by giving a detailed application to the case of potentialsg/γq (q even) and outline its application to potentials withq odd; we give a brief discussion of the case of finite superposition of these potentials.

High Fluctuations of THES-Ranking Results in Lower Scoring Universities.
Proceedings of the International Conference on Scientometrics and Informetrics, 2015A regression analysis of results from the Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THES-Ranking) from 2010-2014 shows high fluctuations in the rank and score for lower scoring universities (below position 50) which lead to inconsistent "up and downs" in the total results.
