Theta dynamics in rat: speed and acceleration across the Septotemporal axis. [PDF]
Theta (6-12 Hz) rhythmicity in the local field potential (LFP) reflects a clocking mechanism that brings physically isolated neurons together in time, allowing for the integration and segregation of distributed cell assemblies.

This study investigates laser shock peening for enhancing fatigue performance of riveted aerospace aluminum joints. A comparative approach with cold expansion combines fatigue testing and synchrotron X‐ray methods. Integrating mechanical testing with residual stress and strain characterization provides insights into how different treatments affect the ...

Structure function of passive scalars in two-dimensional turbulence
The structure function of a scalar $\theta({\bf x},t)$, passively advected in a two-dimensional turbulent flow ${\bf u}({\bf x},t)$, is discussed by means of the fractal dimension $\delta^{(1)}_g$ of the passive scalar graph. A relation between $\delta^{(

Adaptable Tile‐Based Pneumatic Origami through Structurally Coupled Localized Actuation
This article presents tile‐based pneumatic origami structures with rigid tiles and flexible fabric creases, achieving adaptable properties including morphing shape, selective multistability, and tunable stiffness. Independently pressurized folding bladders at each crease enable structurally coupled localized actuation of origami structures.

Nonlinear Fredholm equations in modular function spaces
We investigate the existence of solutions in modular function spaces of the Fredholm integral equation $$ \Phi(\theta) = g(\theta) + \int^1_0 f(\theta,\sigma, \Phi(\sigma)) \,d\sigma, $$ where $\Phi(\theta), g(\theta)\in L_{\rho}, \theta\in [0,1 ...

Laser wire directed energy deposition process was leveraged to fabricate large scale NiTi alloy wall. Evaluation of build‐height‐dependent tribo‐mechanical properties revealed significant differences in location specific sample characteristics. The middle region achieved optimal performance (superior wear resistance, balanced strength‐ductility ...
