A source impedance compensated artificial voice for mask speech intelligibility testing: Thevenin model

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1996
This paper describes the development of a Thevenin model of the human voice for mask speech intelligibility testing. The following steps were used to develop the Thevenin model: (1) the long-term average speech spectrum of ten male speakers was measured; (2) the corresponding average vocal tract shape was estimated using linear prediction; (3) a ...

Extended Thevenin models for transient analysis of non-uniform dispersive lossy multiconductor transmission lines

[Proceedings] 1992 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2003
The authors present a new time-varying equivalent circuit model for transient analysis of uniform and nonuniform multiconductor transmission lines with arbitrary linear and nonlinear loads. Calculated or measured scattering parameter data are used to characterize the interconnection structures.

Thevenin's equivalent of photovoltaic source models for MPPT and power grid studies

2011 IEEE Power and Energy Society General Meeting, 2011
The model of a photovoltaic (PV) source is needed for Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) and power grid studies. The single diode model can fairly emulate PV's characteristic. The only nonlinear element in this model is the single diode. This paper proposes Thevenin's equivalent model for a PV source by piecewise linearization of the diode ...

Comparison of Simple Battery Model and Thevenin Battery Model for SOC Estimation Based on OCV Method

2019 International Conference on Information and Communications Technology (ICOIACT), 2019
State of Charge (SOC) is a component of Battery Management System (BMS) which gives information on the remaining capacity of a battery. For monitoring purpose, SOC estimation is represented as ratio of the remaining capacity to the nominal capacity of a battery.

THEVENIN EQUIVALENT CIRCUITS FOR MODELING COMMON-MODE BEHAVIOR IN POWER ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS

2021
The high-frequency switching of transistors in power electronic (PE) converters is known to cause unintended common-mode (CM) current that flows through parasitically-coupled ground paths. One way to model these currents is to utilize time-domain simulations that capture switching dynamics and the corresponding parasitic response.

Effect of anode conductivity degradation on the Thevenin Circuit Model of lithium ion batteries

IECON 2016 - 42nd Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2016
This paper proposes a high resolution anode degradation model of the lithium ion battery based on its physics of operation in 3D and in layers. This model is developed in a multiphysics software called COMSOL and in Matlab. This paper describes the procedure followed to develop the model in 3D and the features of this model.

An Improved PSO Algorithm for Battery Parameters Identification Optimization Based on Thevenin Battery Model

2018 5th IEEE International Conference on Cloud Computing and Intelligence Systems (CCIS), 2018
Battery parameters identification is crucial for accurate prediction of battery life in electric vehicles. In order to optimize battery parameter identification, an improved PSO (particle swarm optimization) algorithm was proposed based on the use of Thevenin battery model to abstract the problem into an optimization problem.

Osculating Thevenin model for predicting delay and slew of capacitively characterized cells

Proceedings 2002 Design Automation Conference (IEEE Cat. No.02CH37324), 2002
To extrapolate from one point to another using a line, one had better get the slope right. In this paper we apply a similar concept to the important problem in Static Timing Analysis (STA) of predicting cell timing for RC loads using capacitive characterization data.
