SENSITIZATION TO THIAMINE HYDROCHLORIDE
JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association, 1941The widespread use of thiamine hydrochloride parenterally makes this report of acquired sensitivity to the substance of some clinical interest. REPORT OF CASE A white married woman aged 72, who had no prior history of allergic symptoms, was advised by her physician in September 1940 to take thiamine hydrochloride subcutaneously each day for ten days.

A New Convergent Synthesis of Thiamine Hydrochloride
Helvetica Chimica Acta, 1990AbstractThiamine hydrochloride (1a; 3‐[(4‐amino‐2‐methylpyrimidin‐5‐yl)methyl]‐5‐(2‐hydroxyethyl)‐4‐methylthia‐zolium chloride hydrochloride; vitamin B1) has been synthesized in excellent yield by condensation of 3‐mercapto‐4‐oxopentyl acetate (5a) with 3, 4‐dihydro‐7‐methylpyrimido[4, 5‐d]pyrimidine (4) in formic acid.

THIAMINE HYDROCHLORIDE IN THE TREATMENT OF TRYPARSAMIDE AMBLYOPIA
Archives of Ophthalmology, 1941The use of the various vitamins in the treatment of ocular and neurologic diseases has led in some instances to satisfactory results. Because of the value of thiamine (vitamin B1) hydrochloride in the treatment of tobacco and alcohol amblyopia, as well as of certain forms of peripheral neuritis, it was reasonable to assume that this vitamin might have ...

Filter Technique as a Factor in the Stability of Thiamine Hydrochloride Injections
Journal of the American Pharmaceutical Association (Scientific ed.), 1952The stability of thiamine hydrochloride injection is influenced, among other factors, by the nature and preparation of the filter used in the bacteriological or polishing filtration. Of three filters studied, the Seitz type proved least desirable. The Pyrex fritted glass candle type was found superior, and the Selas 03 candle, previously ignited and ...

Polymorphic Changes of Thiamine Hydrochloride During Granulation and Tableting
Drug Development and Industrial Pharmacy, 2001Thiamine hydrochloride was granulated using an instrumented fluidized bed granulator (Hüttlin HKC 05-TJ). Granules consisting of pure thiamine hydrochloride were produced using an aqueous solution of thiamine hydrochloride as the granulating liquid. The effects of process variables such as inlet air temperature, spray rate, and amount of granulating ...

Preparation and Evaluation of Thiamine N-Cyclohexylsulfamate Hydrochloride
Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1962The presently available salts of thiamine are known to have a characteristic bitter taste. The N-cyclohexylsulfamic acid salt of thiamine hydrochloride was prepared and was found to have a taste which was greatly improved over that of the presently available salts of thiamine.

Spectrophotometric determination of thiamine hydrochloride using orthogonal polynomials
The Analyst, 1981A direct spectrophotometric method for the determination of thiamine hydrochloride in the presence of its degradation products is presented. The method depends upon the use of the combined polynomial method, a modification of Glenn's method of orthogonal functions, to eliminate interferences by degradation products to the absorption spectrum of ...
