Vitamin B1, in parenteral solutions in admixture with riboflavin and niacinamide, exhibits maximum stability with respect to potency and clarity of solution at pH 4 under a nitrogen atmosphere. In admixture with iron compounds, vitamin Bi is more stable in the presence of ferrous gluconate than of iron peptonate or ferric ammonium citrate.
