Specific features of the blue spruce Picea pungens Engelm. regeneration from mature zygotic embryos in vitro culture under the influence of thidiazuron (TDZ) were studied. It was noted that under the influence of TDZ the explants cotyledons tissues were expanded, and active morphogenesis took place and meristemoids were formed in their epidermal layers.
