Scandium (Sc)‐doped AlCoCrFeMo HEA coatings are fabricated via flame spraying with 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 wt% Sc additions. Among these, the HEA‐Sc0.3 coating exhibits the highest corrosion resistance, indicated by a more positive corrosion potential and lower current density.

Applying discursive approaches to health psychology [PDF]
Objective: The aim of this paper is to outline the contribution of two strands of discursive research, glossed as ‘macro’ and ‘micro’, to the field of health psychology.

Aluminum and nitride coatings are used in industry because they are hard, resist wear, and protect against oxidation. Adding boron can improve friction behavior and other properties. This study tests coatings on surfaces with different finishes. Results show smoother surfaces perform better, while rough ones wear faster, although coatings can reduce ...

An asymptotic membrane-like theory for long-wave motion in a pre-stressed elastic plate
An asymptotically consistent two-dimensional theory is developed to help elucidate dynamic response in finitely deformed layers. The layers are composed of incompressible elastic material, with the theory appropriate for long-wave motion associated with ...

Singular Higher Order Divergence-Conforming Bases of Additive Kind and Moments Method Applications to 3D Sharp-Wedge Structures [PDF]
We present new subsectional, singular divergence conforming vector bases that incorporate the edge conditions for conducting wedges. The bases are of additive kind because obtained by incrementing the regular polynomial vector bases with other ...

A Dislocation Perspective on Strength and Toughness in Ceramics
Dislocations in ceramics enjoy a long but yet under‐appreciated history. The three research waves for dislocations in ceramics highlight the topic evolution over the last 90 years. This review focuses on the impact of dislocation on strength and toughness in ceramics.

A review of some tribo-dynamics phenomena from micro- to nano-scale conjunctions [PDF]
The paper provides some highlights in the developments of theories of lubrication and contact mechanics from early pioneering works of Reynolds and Hertz to the establishment of elastohydrodynamic phenomenon by Ertel and Grubin. Some historical discourse
