Endobronchial Ultrasound-Guided Transbronchial Biopsy Using Novel Thin Bronchoscope for Diagnosis of Peripheral Pulmonary Lesions [PDF]
The aim of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic utility of endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS)-guided transbronchial biopsy (TBB) using a novel 3.4-mm thin bronchoscope and a 1.4-mm ultrasonic probe for peripheral pulmonary lesions.A total of 86 patients with suspected peripheral lesions were included in this prospective study.

Successful Mediastinal Cryobiopsy Using the Slim UCP190F EBUS Bronchoscope and a 25G Needle: Demonstrating the Efficacy of the Ariza‐Pallares Approach [PDF]
Mediastinal cryobiopsy is emerging as a powerful adjunct to traditional EBUS‐TBNA, offering larger, architecturally preserved tissue samples. We describe a case demonstrating successful mediastinal cryobiopsy using the newly developed UCP190F ...

Improved reachability during bronchoscopy with a novel multisection robotic bronchoscopeCentral MessagePerspective [PDF]
Objectives: The incidence of pulmonary nodules (PNs) has increased as the result of expanded lung cancer screening. PNs are often difficult to access with conventional bronchoscopy.

Fiberoptic Endotracheal Intubation Through an Ultra-Thin Bronchoscope with Suction Channel in a Newborn with Difficult Airway [PDF]
Management of the airway may be difficult in newborns with craniofacial and neck malformations (1). Previous experiences with flexible endoscopic intubation in neonates have shown encouraging results, but a number of limitations, such as no directional control at the tip or lack of an operative channel, were also reported (2,3).

Bronchoscopic Direct Drainage of a Treatment‐Resistant Lung Abscess via Endoscopic Balloon Dilation in a High‐Risk Patient [PDF]
A 49‐year‐old man presented with a cough, hemoptysis and fever. Computed tomography revealed a lung abscess in the right upper lobe. The patient's medical history included chronic renal failure with haemodialysis, myocardial infarction and developmental ...

Endoscopic Ultrasound With Bronchoscope-Guided Fine-Needle Aspiration (EUS-B-FNA) in a six-Month-Old Infant: A Case Based Review of Literature. [PDF]
A 6‐month‐old infant with recurrent respiratory infections was diagnosed to have a posterior mediastinal cyst causing bronchial compression, and diagnostic uncertainty prompted minimally invasive evaluation. Transoesophageal EUS‐B‐FNA safely confirmed bronchogenic cyst, followed by successful surgical excision with complete recovery.

Diagnostic utility of a novel thin bronchoscope [PDF]
To the Editors: In a recent issue of the European Respiratory Journal ( ERJ ), Oki et al. 1 evaluated the diagnostic utility of a novel thin bronchoscope with a 1.7-mm working channel for peripheral pulmonary lesions. We have a few comments we would like to make about this article.
